New Zealand moves to 4G and 5G

New Zealand have been working through their network of telemetry installations and have been upgrading all of the systems that have previously operated on 2G and 3G. This has included a site where one of our older DataHub models was replaced with a vanwaltKISS. No more solar panel, maintenance free but still connecting to our vanwaltCONNECT portal for data download.

Auger Maintenance

In practice augers keep themselves clean & sharp by the high friction of soil particles rubbing the augers surface. Essentially, the more you use them the easier they are to maintain. Always check you are using the correct auger head for the soil you are sampling & don't overfill the auger head. Keep connections clean so they remain easy to connect & disconnect, and clean your auger heads as much as you can after each use with a brush. Store equipment in a dry safe place.

David and Max install vanwaltKISS by the coast

David and Max have recently completed a two day installation at multiple locations installing our telemetered logger, vanwaltKISS. Some of the sites were not accessible by land so our resident dinghy, Lady Ailsa, was recommissioned for work. vanwaltKISS, logs and stores the data from the deployed water level sensor every 15 minutes. Data is sent every 24 hours to our cloud-based portal, vanwaltCONNECT.

Geosorb Socks

Geosorb Kits are designed to recover hydrocarbons from wells. The system has a stainless steel screened cage assembly and a product selective absorbent. It is weighted so it can easily be lowered down a well where it will absorb the product but not the water. Available 38 mm or 76mm diameter, 91 cm length - Pack of 12.
