Peat Probes

Measuring the depth of a peat layer: The simplest tool in the trio of samplers for peatlands is the peat probe. These are fibreglass rods with a metal tip which are pushed into the peat until resistance is felt. The distance between the ground level and the resistance is the thickness of the peat layer.

The multi-stage sediment sampling kit includes everything you need to collect relatively undisturbed sludge and sediment samples up to 4’ in length. A disposable plastic core catcher and a special stainless steel multi-stage flap valve cap improves recovery of saturated materials.

KISS - Keep it Simple Sensing

KISS gets deployed on the West Coast of New Zealand. Due to the remote nature of this site, the preference was for telemetric data to the cloud. KISS is solar and accessory free and fits discreetly inside the deployed storm water pipe. Hidden from sight and protected from the West Coast weather and from cable chewing wildlife.

Passive Skimmers

The passive skimmers are designed for the recovery of free-floating hydrocarbons from the water table (LNAPL), capturing the product solely through gravity and filtration. The positioning buoy automatically adjusts the hydrocarbon capture height to compensate for variations in the water table level.
